Looking to earn some extra cash? I guess that’s kind of a silly question. I mean, who wouldn’t like some extra money in their pocket, right? Especially if you could just sit at home on the computer to earn the extra dough! Well, guess what… you can! Believe it or not, there are many companies that will pay you just to use the Internet! All you need is an Internet connection, and some way to access the tasks (a computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.). Because of these companies’ need and desire to better understand their consumers and users, they will actually pay you to test websites, search the web, take surveys, and the like. Take a look at these 7 companies that will pay you JUST to use the Internet…

1. UserTesting

This is an online survey site that pays its members via PayPal for simply giving their opinions on products and marketing strategies. Because over 34,000 companies and customers across the world rely on UserTesting to create and improve their marketing tactics, UserTesting is willing to pay people to help them to discover what types of marketing work the best and the worst compared to others. Signing up to do this is free and easy, and you could get paid $10-15 just for quickly testing an app or visiting a website, which takes only about 15-20 minutes!

2. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is another super easy way to earn some extra money, as this website will pay you just to search around the web. One of the differences here, though, is that Swagbucks pays you in gift cards, rather than in cash. But who cares! You can still use the gift cards as money! So in terms of your “job,” all you have to do is sign up for Swagbucks, download the search bar onto your web browser, and then you’ll start earning points just for searching the web, taking surveys, watching targeted videos, and shopping online. Once you earn a certain amount of points, you can turn them in for gift cards to popular retailers like Walmart and Amazon.

3. Enroll

Enroll is a company that pays people to test websites before they are published and live on the Internet. To earn money with Enroll, simply submit your email address, create a password, and choose your preferred method of testing - computer, tablet, or smartphone. You will then begin receiving emails when assignments are available to you, all of which vary in nature, length, and pay. All payments from Enroll are made via PayPal.

4. Smart Panel

This may be the easiest way to earn money on this list. After completing a quick questionnaire to see if you qualify, you’ll start getting paid right away! And when I say ‘right away,’ I mean $5 just for meeting those initial qualifications! After that, you’ll get paid another $5 every month just for keeping the app installed on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. On top of those basic payments, you can earn small amounts for using your device like normal, and letting Smart Panel analyze your search results. Word on the street is that you can earn up to $110 in one year! For doing practically nothing, that sounds pretty good to me!

5. Opinion Outpost

Whoever said your opinion doesn’t matter was so wrong! Opinion Outpost will actually pay you for your opinion! Just sign up with an email account or social media account and you’ll start being selected for surveys to complete in exchange for pay. Opinion Outpost pays you in cash or gift cards to popular retailers like Amazon, and you can also earn entries into cash drawings for amounts up to $10,000!

6. UserFeel

This company pays around $10 per test or task, which includes providing your thoughts and opinions on various websites. To become a tester, simply register for an account and take a sample test. If your sample test is approved, you’ll begin getting assignments in your email and you can complete the assignments as they are provided to you. Again, UserFeel pays around $10 per test and payments are made weekly via PayPal.

7. StartUpLift

As the name implies, this is a website that helps out other startup websites. Where do you come in? StartUpLift will pay you to answer questions about these other startup websites in order to help improve them. Each individual company provides their own website and tasks related to the website, and then you complete the given tasks. For each completed job, StartUpLift pays you $5 and payments are made via PayPal on a weekly basis.

Now before you go quitting your job, thinking you can make a living off of these Internet jobs, consider this: These websites and these opportunities are very popular, and there are way more testers out there than customers. Therefore, you can’t expect to complete 20 tests everyday to pay your bills. In order to make the most out of this opportunity, though, consider signing up with as many of these websites as possible... along with the TONS of other ones that I didn’t even mention here!
