Standing in line to wait for a cashier to ring your items up will soon be a thing of the past. Walmart’s popular warehouse club chain, Sam’s Club, launched an incredibly useful and easy to use app for all shoppers called the Sam’s Club Scan & Go (available for Apple and Android).

Don't head in without checking out Sam's Club new weekly offers, discounts and deals!

What’s Scan & Go?

Basically, with this app downloaded to your phone, you can wander your local Sam’s Club and open up the app to scan items as you add them to your cart. When you’re done shopping and scanning, simply pay for all your items on your app and show a Sam’s Club team member the e-receipt on your phone on the way out. Easy right?

The app is absolutely free to download for everyone! You can head over to this Sam’s Club Scan & Go page to download the app now.

Is it available everywhere?

Sam’s Club Scan & Go app is available in every location in the U.S.

Can it be used to scan every item in store?

Per Sam’s Club page, these items cannot be scanned via the app:

“Alcohol, tobacco, jewelry, pharmacy prescriptions and gift cards.”

That's all there is to it! Head in to your local Sam's Club and give it a whirl, let us know how it works out for you.

I wanna be the very best like no one ever was. Couponing is my real test, to cut them is my cause. I will travel across the land, searching far and wide. Each store to understand, the discounts that's inside.

Not at all. Hiring all the time. The amount of people that will actually use the app is nothing compared to the customer base.

If I now have to scan, checkout and box my groceries, next do I have to cook my own dinner when I go out to eat at a restaurant?

What will Costco do to top that app, if anything?
