If you're a fan of Starbucks ever-extending food menu and reside in Chicago, you're in luck. On April 11, 100 downtown Chicago Starbucks locations will be home to a new, tasty variety of grab-and-go lunch options on their newly dubbed Mercato menu. In addition to their protein boxes and frozen breakfast offerings, Starbucks goers will now get a chance to indulge in more café-inspired meals like their Za'atar Chicken & Lemon Tahini salad, Herbed Chicken & Fig Spread cold sandwich, or a side salad of Cauliflower Tabbouleh.

You don't even have to wait until lunch to grab something from the new menu as they will be available first thing in the morning. For those dining in, you can create a half-and-half combo - half a sandwich plus a side salad of your choice. Moreover, vegetarian options are available in salads and sandwiches. The best part? These options will be made fresh daily at a local facility, and all eligible meals that aren't sold by the end of the day will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository to provide meals for those in need. We wish we were in Chicago to try these options, but if you are, let us know what you think in the comments below!
