Starbucks
Starbucks has been working hard on expanding their menu items which now includes breakfast. They’ve also done a bevy of things that were, no doubt, the real fun for loyal Starbucks goers. From rainbow drinks to delicious caffeine-packed cold brews, this coffee chain ended 2016 with a bang.
To kick off the year fresh, Starbucks recently brought back Valentine’s favorites and now, according to Business Insider, they plan to start serving ice cream in over 100 stores across the U.S. This week, residents of Los Angeles, Boston and Washington DC will be the first among many to sample their Roastery Affogato menu at 10 Reserve bar locations. Starbucks will also be testing budget affogato menu at 100 locations in Orange County, California.
Affogato is widely known as an Italian classic coffee-based dessert usually served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or gelato and topped or “drowned” with a shot of hot espresso. Starbucks will launch two new affogatos to the menu from the Classic Affogato for $6 to the Cold Brew Malt (which will replace the shot of espresso with cold brew) for $8.50. Some alternate variations include the Shakerato Affogato which is made with an icy espresso with vanilla syrup and a sprig of mint.
