T-Mobile announced today that they’re bringing another breakthrough move to their Un-carrier campaign. T-Mobile CEO and president John Legere shared the company’s plan to offer 100% unlimited LTE data to all T-Mobile users known as T-Mobile ONE.
You can also check out all available T-Mobile promotions and see how you can alter your current plan to save money on features you need and swap out features you don't need.
T-Mobile ONE is a new unlimited data plan that will pretty much leave all other data plan in the past. T-Mobile ONE offers unlimited 4G LTE data for both smartphones and tablets so you won’t have to worry about any data limits again. According to the press release, unlimited 4G LTE data will also apply to video at standard definition. If you want HD coverage, you’ll also have the option to add that onto your T-Mobile ONE plan at an extra $25 a month per line.
Legere also boast that T-Mobile’s network is vast enough to break these data barriers and,
“Dumb and Dumber can’t do this. They’ve been running away from unlimited data for years now, because they built their networks for phone calls, not for how people use smartphones today. I hope AT&T and Verizon try to follow us. In fact, I challenge them to try.”
Oh snap, shots fired.
T-Mobile simplify their new unlimited data plan and here’s how pricing works:
Family of four can get T-Mobile ONE for $40 per line so:
First line is $70 a month
Second line is $50 a month
Additional lines that follows are $20 a month each (up to 8 lines with auto pay or $5 extra without auto pay)
Unlimited LTE data for tablets will be an extra $20 per month
The plan will also come with other Un-carrier benefits including:
Unlimited text and data roaming
Services available in Mexico and Canada
Carrier freedom - T-Mobile will cover your cost of switching
Become a T-Mobile shareholder
Access to T-Mobile Tuesdays (must download free app) for free stuff and the chance to win free trips every Tuesday
If you’re a current T-Mobile user and you’re happy with your current data plan, no need to switch but you do have the option to switch to T-Mobile ONE should you wish to! For those who are not currently on T-Mobile network, they have reportedly expanded their LTE coverage in recent years which now covers 311 million people (equivalent to 99.7% of Verizon customers).
You can begin switching your data plan over to T-Mobile ONE starting September 6, 2016 at all T-Mobile stores nationwide or you can switch over online at t-mobile.com (prepaid customers must make the switch in-store).
