We just confirmed from an anonymous source at Target that the retailer will be raising their free shipping minimum to $35 starting Sunday, May, 7th! The threshold change is likely a move to stay competitive with other big box retailers like Amazon and Walmart. Amazon dropped their shipping threshold from $49 to $35 and Walmart has eliminated their ShippingPass program to offer all shoppers free 2-day shipping on purchases of $35 or more. If you don't want to wait around for a delivery, don't forget about Targets order pickup program. With this option, all shoppers will be able to pick up most orders as soon as the day of purchase at your nearest Target location (no minimum purchase needed!).
Speaking of store pickup options, Walmart recently launched a rare Pickup Discount to complete with the major online retailer, Amazon. Basically, if you opt to pick up your items instead of having them shipped, you'll enjoy a special pick up discount on said item(s). This offer is available for over 10,000 items on Walmart Pickup page with millions more to be added by the end of June 2017.
