If you shop online often, you probably opt for stores that have a local location and easy and free return policy. When you think of customer service, the first thing that comes to mind for most of us will probably be nonchalant and unsatisfied workers handling our order issues. Let’s face it, customer service gets a pretty bad rap most of the time but this zulily customer service provider is doing it right.
Zulily shopper, Kelly Blue Kinkel placed an order for a new coat from zulily.com a few weeks ago only to find that the coat she ordered is unfit for a pet owner. She could see through the package that the coat material would be a magnet for pet hair.
“I spoke with a sweet young man named Patrick, and he let me know he would refund my money immediately. I asked again how to send it back, and he said, “Please don’t send it back. If you know someone who needs a winter coat or if you would like to donate it to a charity, that would make us very happy.” I honestly thought he was kidding. It took me a moment to realize he was completely serious, and then came the tears. I just don’t know other companies that do this, do you?”
Zulily has a no return policy on all of their limited time event sales but they were kind enough to not only give Kinkel her refund but asked her to donate or give away the coat to someone who needs it. Customer service done right!
