Secret Santas and gift exchanges have become incredibly common at most workplaces over the years. the complete holiday gift guide for your coworkers

  1. Desk Calendar
What better gift for a coworker than something they can use right at work! This is an especially good idea if you don’t know the person very well, because at least you know it’s something that will make their work life a little easier. Desk calendars are not only super useful, but they’re also relatively inexpensive. Get the Jaunty Animals 2017 Desk Calendar with Wood Stand ($22) from Hello Small World on Etsy.

  2. Mini Buddha Board
Much like real-life Snapchat, these small, collapsible boards allow you to write or draw on them and then the screen fades away on its own. Your coworker can vent and relieve some stress with one of these mini Buddha boards, rather than sending that angry Tweet or email that might get them in trouble later on. Get the Original Buddha Board ($29.95) from Barnes & Noble.

  3. Marble & Wood Coasters
I think it’s safe to say that all employees like to have a drink on their desk throughout the day, so you really can’t go wrong with coasters as a gift for a coworker. If you want to go all out, you can even have the coasters personalized for fairly cheap! Get the Threshold Marble & Wood Coasters, Set of 4 ($11.99) from Target.

  4. Space Heater
We all have that one person at work who’s always complaining about being cold in the office, no matter how hot it is outside. You know who I’m talking about, right? Why not brighten up their day (and yours) with a convenient little space heater. These are perfect for small offices or cubicles, as they provide plenty of warmth but don’t take up too much room. Get the Lasko 102 My Heat Personal Ceramic Heater (starting at $18.36) from Amazon.

  5. Diffuser
Although a bit pricy, a diffuser is hands-down the best option for aromatherapy within the office. They only require water and some scented oils to fill the room with whatever scent you desire. What’s more is that your coworker can use the essential oils for other purposes as well, such as headache or back pain relief. Get the InnoGear Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser ($21.95) from Amazon.

  6. Spa Basket
As we all know, work can be extremely stressful. That’s why a spa basket is a perfect gift for a fellow coworker who wants to relieve some stress or just feel appreciated around the workplace. Fill the basket with cleansers, lotions, bath salts, scented oils, or even a gift certificate to a local day spa. Get the Hydro® Luxury Spa Experience ($29.95) from Gift Tree.

  7. Business Card Holder
If you work in a more professional setting - you know, where you have to dress up everyday and carry business cards around with you - what better gift for a coworker than a business card holder?! Whether you choose to get it personalized or not, card holders make for a perfect thoughtful and practical gift for any coworker. Get a Personalized Business Card Holder ($42.02) from GohandCo on Etsy.

  8. Tervis Travel Mug
A Tervis travel cup is a great gift for anyone, so of course it’s a safe bet for a coworker! These amazing travel companions keep your hot drinks hot and your cold drinks cold for longer than most other cups can. They are available in tons of different designs, sizes, and styles, and you can even choose the color of your lid and straw! Get a Tervis Travel Mug ($11.99) from Tervis.

  9. Portable Phone Charger
We’ve all been there - halfway through the work day and your phone is already at 30% battery life. Let’s face it, one can never have too many chargers for their phone, am I right? As long as you know what kind of phone they have, giving them the gift of an extra charger is one they’re sure to appreciate. If not a portable charger, you can even find packs of multiple chargers on Amazon for really low prices, so they can have one for the office, one for the car, and one for at home. Get the Anker PowerCore+ Mini 3350mAh Portable Charger ($12.99) from Amazon.

  10. Cocktail Prep Book
If you’ve got a partier in the office, or maybe someone who just enjoys having company over on the weekends, a cocktail prep book is a terrific gift idea. With an incredibly wide selection of happy hour recipes, you’re sure to hit the nail on the head with this gift. Get The Bar Book: Elements of Cocktail Technique ($20.53) from Amazon.

Of course these ideas depend greatly on your workplace atmosphere, as well as your coworkers’ interests and personalities. For example, if you know a certain coworker likes to stay home and read books with her cats in her spare time, the cocktail prep book probably isn’t the best idea for her. Each of these gifts is safe, practical, and thoughtful, but be sure to use your best judgement and discretion when it comes to buying for coworkers. And if you just can’t decide, a gift card is always a safe choice! Good luck!
