There’s no denying that we all love a bargain! If you’re an expert bargain shopper, you know that buying in surplus from big box wholesale warehouses, like Sam’s Club, is one of the best go-to shopping destinations for incredible deals. It’s important to keep in mind, though, that not every advertised deal is actually a good deal, and this is especially true with wholesale stores. Luckily, we’ve done some research and found a few items that, for the most part, you can be sure are great deal when you’re buying them from Sam’s Club!

7 Things to Buy at Sam's Club That Are Always a Must

  1. Tires

    tires

Like most things in life, tires don’t last forever, and replacing them is never a cheap endeavor. While it is true that most retailers offer a “Buy 3 Get 1 Free” deal, it is also true that at these other retail shops, those first three tires are still more expensive than all four at Sam’s Club. In fact, Sam’s Club customers report that they save about 10-20% by buying their tires from Sam’s instead of any other retailer!

  2. Batteries

    batteries

Even with rechargeable batteries on the market, most of us are still more likely to go out and buy a new pack of regular batteries when our old ones die. And that’s totally fine, but don’t you at least want to get the most bang for your buck? If so, Sam’s Club is definitely the place to shop when it comes to batteries, as you can save up to $1 PER BATTERY by buying them in bulk! How crazy is that?! Throw that whole “I don’t need 40 batteries at one time” mindset right out the window! If you ask me, saving up to $1 per battery is worth hold on to some extra batteries until you need them!

  3. Alcohol

    vodka

Whether for personal consumption, to bring to others’ parties, or to host your own get togethers, alcohol is certainly one of those items that many people like to keep fully stocked - and Sam’s Club is the perfect place to get you going with this! While not all of our party decisions are the best at times, buying your beers and wines from Sam’s is definitely one of the smartest party decisions you can make.

  4. Medications

    medication

It’s always a good idea to compare prices between retailers, but when it comes to medications, Sam’s Club is almost always the winner. What’s more is that, unlike most deals at Sam’s, you don’t even have to be a Sam’s Club Member to get the savings! (Due to drug regulations, no store can require a membership to sell prescription medications). Sam’s Club customers have reported saving as much as 50% on their prescriptions and over-the-counter medications when buying from Sam’s Club, as compared to when buying from other local pharmacies. 5. Laundry Detergent

    detergent

Laundry is one of the those things that just never runs out. Or maybe I should say “the need to do laundry” is what never runs out. Therefore, stocking up on laundry detergent is always a wise choice. The piles of laundry aren’t going anywhere, the detergent doesn’t expire, and it’s so much cheaper per ounce to buy it in bulk from wholesale retailers like Sam’s Club.

  6. Condiments

    condiments

Have you ever made the kids lunch or dinner, put it on a plate, and set it down in front of them, only to realize just a bit too late that you were all out of ketchup? Take it from me, this DOES actually happen! The smart thing to do, especially when you have kids, company over often, or frequent BBQs during the summer, is to buy all of your commonly used condiments - ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, and the like - in bulk, and have them stashed away in your pantry for when you suddenly run out without realizing it.

  7. Gift Cards

    gift cards

Gift cards are an absolute steal at Sam’s Club! Often times, gift cards are offered at a 10-20% discount from face value, which means you can often buy a $100 gift card for around $80-90! That’s basically free money, and who doesn’t like free money? You can find these discounted gift cards for anything from restaurants, hardware stores, iTunes, clothing retailers, and so much more. You can also check the website for some non-advertised deals on gift cards!
