Everyone has their retailers that they like to go to for certain items. You may purchase laundry detergent from Target, tissue from Walmart, and maybe your food from Trader Joe's. Really the goal here is to save money and get more bang for your buck, but there is one location where people can actually get a lot of items on their list and not have spend a boat load of cash: the dollar store.

Even though dollar store prices are already affordable, I don't think many people would object to saving even more. Check out our dollar store coupon pages:

1. Greeting Cards

You can buy greetings card from pretty much any store, but that doesn't mean you will be getting them for a good price or that you'll have a decent selection. For just one dollar, you get to choose from a great variety of cards and won't end up paying too much.

2. Cleaning Supplies

Everyone cleans their house at some point, which means they will need cleaning supplies. From sponges to disinfectants and dishwashing liquid, it all can be found at the dollar store. Not to mention, it is very likely that it will cost way less than what you would spend if you go to a grocery store or another retailer.

3. Office Supplies

The price of office supplies can add up in seconds if you are are buying a lot. Scotch tape, paper, paper clips, staples are all likely purchases that will be made often, so of course it would be nice to not have to spend an upwards of $100 to get everything. Shopping at the dollar store can at the very least cut that number in half if not more.

4. Candy

Birthday parties, Halloween and a number of other occasions will require you to purchase candy. Even if you just want something for yourself to snack on, you don't want to pay a lot for something that you know you can get for less by shopping at a different store.

5. Decorations

Whether you are decorating for a holiday or for a party, there is an abundance of decorations available at the dollar store. Like many things there, the best part about them is that they only cost $1. Chances are you'll be able to find things very similar to what they sell at a nearby party store, but you'll be spending a lot less.

6. Crafts

Anyone with children is aware of the fact that they can sometimes get into things they shouldn't. You have to keep them busy, and what better way to do that than with arts and crafts? The dollar store sells construction paper, glue, scissors, and a number of other items that can be used by kids during craft time.

7. Party Supplies

Yes, decorations are a necessary for a party, and great find, but you'll also need to make sure have other party supplies. This includes plastic forks, knives and spoons, paper plates and napkins. You could buy these items anywhere, but if they're just going to be thrown out, you don't want to have to pay double or triple the cost when you do have to.

8. Home Decor

Those moving into their first house or apartment, but also people who have been living in their own place for years can really learn to appreciate the home decor offerings at the dollar store. If you need picture frames you find them here. Candles and candle holders? They have them at the dollar store, too? You can even find fake flowers to go in your vases.

9. Shampoo and Conditioner

You're going to find shampoo or conditioner that professionals use, but you will find some that can get your hair clean and leave it feeling soft and moisturized. That is really all some people want, so why not skip the huge beauty aisle with overpriced shampoo and conditioner and opt for something that is cheaper, but will still get the job done?

10. Glassware and Dishes

Dishes and glassware are another great dollar store find. Of course, they aren't going to be the best dishes you can find, but they will be the most affordable. If your budget doesn't allow for something that costs a bit more, than these are you next best option. That doesn't mean you can't purchase dishes of a higher quality for a higher price later down the line.
