9 Tools That Will Help Organize Your Life

Life can get hectic from time to time, but it is possible for you to keep your focus and not stress out during those chaotic moments. How you choose to do this is up to you, whether you take a step back from the task at hand or find tools that help you stay organized and on top of things. For those who opt for the latter, there are there are various tools available to you. The one you will want to remember when choosing these tools is that there are some that are the better option when you really want to keep yourself organized.

Don't know where to get started? Amazon, Dollar Tree, Target, Walmart and ebay has really affordable (and cute!) organization and storage items. These stores are a go-to for us too!

 

1. Accordion folder

As the years go by, you will start to accumulate a lot of documents that you will want to keep organized. You may choose to keep everything in one folder, which is a good idea, but by taking it one step further and purchasing an accordion folder, you can be sure that you will where all of your paperwork and documents are and that they are safe.

2. Desk calendar

How many times have you forgotten about an important appointment or a meeting? To keep yourself organized and reduce the risk of this happening again, you can invest in a desk calendar. Between the size of the calendar and its location right there on your desk, you will be able to see your schedule whenever you sit down at your desk and know what exactly you have planned every week. As an alternate, you can also set a reminder to yourself on your smartphone.

3. Dry-erase board

If you have a big family, staying organized is important and very much necessary if you want communication to go smoothly. A dry-erase board can make things a bit easier because you and other members of your family can keep track of your grocery list, list of things to do and even leave reminders about games and other events.

4. Mattress caddy

Not everyone has a nightstand sitting right next to their bed where they can conveniently place items while they sleep. It would be nice, but it is not always something people can afford. That being the case, a mattress caddy is the perfect alternative. With this organization tool, you can keep your books and magazines, remote controls, cell phone and more right next to your bed. You get the convenience of having a place to tuck away your items without having to spend the money or give up the space.

5. Ice trays

Keeping your jewelry in one place can be hard when you don't have a jewelry box. You could go out and buy one, depending on how much jewelry you have, you could be spending a lot for a bigger box to accommodate the amount of jewelry you have. Ice trays are perfect for keeping your earrings and rings separate, but in one place. Even if you have to buy several, it will cheaper than a jewelry box and easier to find a place to store them in.

Ever had to time out of your time to hunt down cleaning products? It can be time consuming and frustrating to have to search for cleaning supplies, especially when you know for a fact that you have them and they are somewhere in the house. With a utility tote, you can keep everything you need in one place and not have to search through cabinets every time you want to clean.

7. Suction hooks

People tend to leave certain items lying around their home and, as a result, misplace them. Suction hooks are the perfect solution when you are looking for a place to store your jackets, purses and even necklaces. Just stick them to the wall in a convenient place and you'll be able to find these items whenever you need them and they'll be out of the way instead of adding to the clutter.

8. Laundry sorter

Those who really care about their clothes will sort their laundry before throwing it into the washer. Think about how much time it takes to sit there and separate your clothes, then consider how much time you could save by doing it as you drop your dirty clothes into the hamper. With a laundry sorter, you can have you clothes sorted before you even wash and use the time you save on other tasks.

9. Labels

You probably know where everything in your home is at, but that doesn't mean you won't forget from time to time. Labeling your cabinets and drawers will be a major time saver because you can easily read the label and find what you want in a few seconds.
