It's that time of year again. Retailers are preparing for the busiest shopping season of the year, so that means seasonal workers are high in demand. In addition to the $8 to $12 hourly pay, occasionally seasonal employees are given cool benefits like employee discounts. Of course, you should be aware that come Black Friday weekend, workers are expected to work Black Friday hours - which means late in the night and early in the morning and longer shifts than normal. So, if you're looking for part-time work, head over to these retailers to drop off an application.

Retailers Looking to Hire Seasonal Workers

This retail giant is already advertising for holiday hires. For 2017, Target is hiring 100,000 team members across 1,816 stores for the holiday season, according to their latest press release on September 13th. Another 4,500 positions will be available at their distribution centers and fulfillment facilities. They'll be hosting a hiring event from October 13th to 15th between 10 AM and 6 PM to meet the team and learn about open positions, and you may have the chance to be interviewed and receive a job offer during this time. Click here to view open positions and apply. You can also stop by your local Target store to apply in person over the next few weeks.

The perks of being a Target team member includes market-competitive wages, a variety of schedules, and two discounts: 10% off merchandise at Target stores and at Target.com plus an additional 20% wellness discount on fruits and veggies, Simply Balanced branded foods, and C9 athletic gear. Team members also get the chance to add more holiday hours to their schedules.

They'll have two hiring days, Monday, October 10th and Friday, November 11th during regular store hours or at distribution centers from 11 AM to 4 PM local time. Like Target, you might also get the chance to take part in interviews during this hiring event. Note: you don't have to bring a resumé, but it is recommended.
