National Physical Fitness and Sports

Delay your major lingerie, bras and panties shopping spree till June because guess what? That’s when major lingerie brands like Victoria’s Secret and Frederick’s of Hollywood semi-annual sale takes place and you’ll spot promotions from countless other brands too. We’re anticipating huge lingerie and swimwear sales from Victoria’s Secret after they recently announced their plans to discontinue their swim line.
You’ll still find some nice deals in May but the best sales will probably come at the beginning of June when retailers roll out huge Father’s Day sale events. Check out big department stores for Father’s Day gift sale on appliances, tools and hardware and much more from Macy’s, Sears or Sears Outlet, JCPenney and Kohl’s.
You’ll no doubt see a lot of offers for spring cleaning and by all means go for the little things but save heavy duty cleaning tools till Fall. New vacuum models usually make their appearance in June so if you’re in need of a vacuum, wait till the summer sales starts rolling in. Better yet, wait till Black Friday. Black Friday boast some of the cheapest vacuum savings on big name brands like Dyson.
Apple will be hosting their annual Worldwide Developers Conference from June 13 - 17 in San Francisco this year. During the conference, Apple typically announce what products will be getting a refresh (and previous generations will see a price drop) so definitely hold off till after June to make any new Apple purchase. It’ll save you a “doh!” moment.
Wait till summer time to make purchases on laptops. Beginning June through August, electronic retailers will be offering Back to School discounts and College Student deals. Apple once offered free headphones with your MacBook purchase (plus, their educational pricing is always available)!
This month along with the summer months are probably the worst times to buy a TV and if you missed your chance to purchase in January, you should probably just wait till Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Why January? That’s normally when new TV models are released (you can see a roundup of top releases from CNET’s review of CES 2016) so discontinued models get a huge price slash.
Now is probably not a good time to purchase jewelry since most popular fine jewelry stores (i.e. Pandora, Tiffany & Co. and etc) will have higher markups on their collection. All's not lost though as some big department stores like JCPenney offers up to 60% off their fine jewelry collection with an extra $10 or 25% off coupon. Macy’s is currently hosting their Friends and Family sale with rare designer savings and free shipping at only $25 so if you’ve been procrastinating… this is your best bet!
