What's better than Costco and its mountains on mountains of goods? Maybe free samples, but definitely grocery delivery. That's right, Shipt announced on Tuesday, March 21st that they have added Costco to their online grocery marketplace, so Costco members can soon get their Costco products delivered right to their doorsteps. This service is currently only available in the Tampa metro area, but Shipt announced that it plans to expand its services to 50 markets and over 30 million households by the end of the year.
Shipt is a pretty straightforward service. Members pay $99 annually for unlimited grocery delivery, which means Shipt shoppers will personally visit grocery stores to hand pick your items and then deliver them to your home as soon as one hour after the order is placed. You can select your groceries, detail any preferences, choose a one-hour delivery time frame, and pay for your order conveniently in the Shipt app. What's not to love?
