Every year, you make a resolution to hit the gym everyday. But this year you’re going to try really hard to actually stick with it. Ask anybody who does yoga - this type of exercise is a great way to relieve stiffness, increase muscular dexterity, and reduce stress. Bed Yoga: Relax and Stretch is an awesome 11-minute workout to start your day feeling more awake and ready to take on the world. The video is hosted by Dashama, a knowledgeable young woman that will keep you informed as to which muscles you’re working while you stretch them out together.
If you’re looking to stick with the yoga trend, but you’re not totally and completely gung ho about yoga, this video is probably perfect for you. It will lead you through a series of relaxing whole-body stretches that you can practice right from your own bed that will improve your overall flexibility when done on a daily basis. The stretches include a seated spinal twist, neck rolls, a side neck stretch, shoulder rolls, wrist stretches, side stretches, butterfly pose, happy baby pose, wind-relieving pose, bridge pose, plow pose, and goddess pose. Although this YouTube video suggests that the workout is only for women, that’s not true by any means. Anybody can do this series of easy, yet functional exercises, and they can do them right from the comfort of their own bed! The video is only about 44 seconds long, as it is just a demonstration of five different exercises that you can do from your bed at your own pace. The five exercises include a variety of abdominal exercises, from easy to difficult, that will help to burn fat, flatten your stomach, and strengthen your core.
This is a 7-minute video hosted by Joanna Soh, a certified personal trainer that will keep you focused and on track while waking up in the morning and strengthening your core at the same time. The sequence of this video is as follows: 5 intervals of 50-second workouts with 10 seconds of rest in between each workout, adding up to a total of 5 minutes. If you have more than 5 extra minutes in the morning, your goal should be to complete three sets of this series. The workouts in the video include full-body crunches, criss-crosses, wide-leg cross sit-ups, leg raises, and single-leg pulses.
