"100% Uptime Guarantee. Those three words mean a lot. They actually offer to compensate customers if their web site, email or anything hosted by DreamHost fails. Knowing that they are confident enough to keep this policy around and promote it, says a lot to me. Obviously one the of biggest concerns about paying for a web hosting service is that your website will be running smoothly 24/7. My blog has not yet experienced any downtime in the three months it has been up! The page loading time never lets me down either. Always fast, if not faster, than other blogs that I visit frequently. Of course, all of this means nothing without good customer service to back it up. Live chat agents are available 24/7, however no phone support at all. The live chat agent that I spoke with was efficient, offering me detailed responses within minutes. One of the reasons that I went with DreamHost was that they offer a 97 day money back guarantee if you choose to cancel your plan for whatever reason. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because it is one of the more expensive services out there. There are definitely cheaper options and their pricing is not exactly competitive. That being said, you get what you pay for and I think that DreamHost is worth the few extra bucks a month. The shared hosting plan really seems like their best option if it fits your needs."
