I got mine this morning. They had a table near the lightbulbs and plenty were left. You just had to sign your name and zipcode on a clipboard to get one.

I was able to get a bulb..I saw the same bulb on their ad for $3.99..great energy and money saver!

just to update everyone on the status of these things, I got one earlier this morning and they were very friendly however my girlfriend went in a little later and they were impolite. At least at the store I went to the lights were setting in a couple of boxes right by the entrance, you just had to pick them up and walk out, no checkout necessary.
good luck everyone!

How nice of Home Depot! Giant Food supermarkets have GE CFL's for free this week as well ($1-$1 coupon in the Sunday newspaper).

Happy Earth Day!

good bulbs. I changed all the bulbs in my house to Fluorescent bulbs a year ago and not a single one of them has burned out.
v0litile Apr 18, 2007
definitely, very neat thing to do. Whats the limit for the number of light bulbs per person?
InfernoBlade92 Apr 22, 2007
1 per family

Thanks bossusa.

They will open 6:00 am.

Its estimated that this will result in a $12 million savings in annual energy costs, and reduction of 196 million pounds of CO2 emissions, which is the equivalent of removing over 70,000 cars from American highways.

So...if I replace 15 of the bulbs in my house with these, I don't have to feel guilty for driving my car? Cool!
Bunbury Apr 20, 2007
...You feel guilty for driving your car? ;)
a14umbra Apr 20, 2007
I thought I was suppose to. :|
