not to spoil your deal or nothing, but "The Environmental Working Group (EWG) tested Febreze and found that it had 89 air contaminants, including chemicals that have been linked to cancer and have been shown to be toxic to the brain and nervous system. The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) also tested 14 different air fresheners, one of which was Febreze, and also found that they are much more dangerous than advertised. They have a volatile inorganic compound (VOC) called 1,4 dichlorobenzene. VOCs cause groundwater pollution, air and soil pollution and this particular VOC has links to cancer." http://greenanswers.com/q/123429/pollution-toxins/air-pollution/do-febreeze-sprays-contribute-air-pollution

Well, if we're going to have that outlook then you should a. consider the car you're driving
and

I figure it's not worth worrying about anymore

You'd have to consider the car you're driving then. Is it fuel efficient?
Also, just consider the many things that you consume that are already known carcinogens.
Food coloring? Alcohol? The simple burnt parts of your barbecued meat?
You might as well live in a bubble and grow your own crops.

arsiel Jun 19, 2012
Yay, in for one. Hopefully this works. I can't seem to have too many air fresheners that aren't too overwhelming
dddsss Jun 19, 2012
arsiel, look at my post below [many "fresheners" are pretty toxic]

but is this stuff as necessary/unavoidable as a car?

I consider all those things, but i think these things are far worse than the other things[except for what cars do to the environment]. What smells so bad that u need to use VOCs that "cause groundwater pollution, air and soil pollution", "have been shown to be toxic to the brain and nervous system,...has links to cancer." there's usually a better, less toxic solution to such problems.
