I enjoy cruising the tech sites each evening and especially enjoy reading the latest bits of news about Smart Phones. I thought I would share what I have rounded up for this week with you. Please add any of your own in the comments section.
Google Now- My Sprint Nexus 4G got the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean updated about a week ago and Verizon folks are getting there's now. Something very interesting about Jelly Bean is a new app/feature called Google Now. It is not a Siri competitor as they already have that on Android. This is an app that sort of follows you around and gets to know your patterns. So, for example, when you get in the car in the morning you will get traffic conditions to your job and weather and whatever else you might want to add or is suggested. Click on Google Now at the beginning of this tidbit to see how to setup, configure, and use Google Now.
Apple iPhone 5 phones have an integrated LCD and touchscreen. This apparently makes fixing broken screens a lot easier. Apple stores will be able to fix these phones in-house rather than send them out.

Nokia Lumia 920- This phone is getting a lot of attention in the press and is apparently a rather awesome Windows 8 phone.
Here is an article that makes the case that it is better than the iPhone 5. Read it and you can decide for yourself.
Samsung Galaxy Note II- This is something between a very big Smart Phone and a very small tablet. It has a 5.5" screen (up from 5.3 in the original Note). Samsung sold 10 million of these in seven months despite fairly poor reviews. The Note II is said to address those complaints and it s expected that they will sell a crazy amount of these. Read
this review and see what you think. My Galaxy Nexus has a pretty big screen but I wouldn't mind a bigger one.
iPhone 5 Hands-On Review- Click to read a very fresh review of the iPhone. Now that's it actually being delivered we should see more of these hands-on reviews but this one will get you started.
Droid Razer M- This phone is beginning to get a lot of attention. I really hadn't heard much about the Razr for quite a while. It was quite a hit when it first came out a few years ago. It does have a beautiful screen, impressive battery life, and is a 4G LTE phone.
Well, that's it for this week. Please leave comments with any news that you have.
