How to Make the Most of September Sandal Sales - TIP #2

TIP #2: If you're not very adventurous, but are dying to try a new sandal style ...
Ok, for a minute, let's forget everything I said in Tip #1. If you don't usually think outside your personal style box, but are eager to give a new sandal trend a shot, it's a good time to indulge if you spot a great deal. BUT, some conditions apply. If you won't be able to wear your new sandals a few times this year, don't buy them. Indulgences have an expiration date, so if it's already way too cold for sandals where you are, you're gonna have to wait (I'd say that most places, if you buy fast, you'll still have a few weeks to wear them with a cropped pair of jeans). Also, it's best to buy darker colors now that are a little more Fall friendly, and a good time for thick straps or clunky soles. And finally, be a cheapskate. When you're test-running a new style, especially late in the season, go for inexpensive brands that have been marked down from $85 to $30, and not designer brands that have been marked down from $260 to $125. If you end up loving the style, you can invest in a better pair next year.
