It's important, however, with these small little printers to take a look at the price per page of ink before considering the actual value. While the printer is only $20, it takes HP 60 cartridges which retail for $14.99 and have a page yield of 200. That averages out to be about .075 cents per page (which, by the way, is almost as much as any self-serve retail copy place charges)- not a good deal. A good alternative printer would be something like an OfficeJet 6500 that can be purchased for around $100, and can use the 920xl cartridges, which are around .026 cents per page, or even a printer that uses the new Lexmark 105xl cartridges, which are .01 cents per page (cheapest in the industry to my knowledge at the moment).

whoops- formatted my decimals wrong. Should be 7.5 cents, 2.6 cents, and 1.0 cents (but you get the idea).

Get an HP all in one for a tiny bit more - the scanner copier feature is great. Als, buy the jumbo sized ink cartridges and refill the black ones at least - works pretty well.
