If you do not use the RFID chip feature, request your issuing credit or debit card company to send you a new card without the chip. I have done this with all my cards. This is a fee free service from most or all issuers.

Actually, they already have those sleeves. They look like an inverted gum wrapper (foil on the inside). While RFID can be scanned, there is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes (server-side) to prevent identity theft. But for the extra cautious, this isn't a bad idea.

Personally, since I use a RFID card everyday, I'd rather not have a wallet that makes me take out my cards. It kind of defeats the purpose that RFID was originally designed for.

If what they say about RFID chips is true, someone will come up with a sleeve that you slide your card into so that it cannot be read.
