radioschack. sells this for brand new for 69.99
oggusfoo Jul 07, 2009
newegg has it for 69.99 (- 20 rebate) + 1.99 UPS 3 day shipping = 71.98 so only four dollars more to get it in 3 days, versus the 13 amazon wanted for 2 day shipping, or the gamble of getting it usps and it arriving in two weeks. For those non amazon prime people.

Also, don't expect it to have updated maps, the ones that come preloaded are four quarters old. But, some do come shipped with certificates to get updated maps. And, one reviewer said they had luck sending the receipt to TomX2 and they emailed them a code for it. Supposedly, no new maps for refurbs but ymmv.

Good addition to the detail oggusfoo. It is very important factor to remember when buying a refub item. I bought mine Garmin recently but it has maps for 2007. Map update is about half of its price.

Amazon took off the rebate form on the product page. But you can still get it at

I never thought the day would come that a GPS will be for sale for under $50. I don't care if it is refurbished, especially if it is factory refurbished.

There's no excuse for anyone to ask for directions now when this thing is only $50
superfind Jul 06, 2009
Yet we still see those people rolling down their windows (with those manual rotators) asking for directions. Until every car has a built in GPS those people will still exist.
