Amazon Just Announced These New Products!

Today, Amazon held their Big Hardware Event where they announced 15 new Alexa-enabled devices and more! The event began at 10am PST and is now officially over. See a rundown of the event below.

Amazon Big Hardware Event Rundown:

  1. Amazon Echo Buds (Hands-Free Headphones)
    • Available for pre-order today for $129 (will ship during the holidays)
    • The Echo Buds, Amazon's first foray into headphones, will feature dual armature drivers in each bud, which means the sound will be balanced. They also feature five hours of continuous battery life, plus up to 20 hours with their included case. These new headphones will also feature Bose's smart noise isolation, which will help you focus on what you're listening to better. In addition, they will work with any voice assistant, including Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri.

  2. Amazon Echo Frames Eyeglasses
    • Available in limited quantities (by invite-only) for $179
    • These look like regular eyeglasses, but feature hidden microphones that allow you to chat with Alexa without taking out your phone.

  3. Amazon Echo Loop (A Smart Ring)
    • Available by invite-only for $129
    • The last device Amazon unveiled was the Echo Loop, which is a smart ring that can nudge you with vibrations. Built with a titanium frame that features a haptic engine and two microphones.

  4. Alexa Smart Oven
    • Available for pre-order now for $249.99
    • A brand new microwave that can handle convection cooking and air frying. Functions along with Alexa to suggest cooking times and the ability to scan the barcodes on food items.

  5. Amazon Echo Flex
    • Available for $24.99 (plus an extra $14 for optional motion sensor and nightlight attachment)
    • This is now Amazon's smallest Echo device. You can plug it directly into a power outlet, and it includes a microphone for Alexa commands.

  6. The "All-New Eero"
    • Available for $99, or $249 for a 3-pack
    • Amazon's latest addition to the Eero lineup of Wi-Fi mesh systems. Features a dual-band radio, adaptive backhaul and only takes 10 minutes (or less) to set up. You can even command Alexa to pause Wi-Fi going to a particular device or activate the guest Wi-Fi network.
