Another option Amazon recently unveiled is called "Amazon Cash", which allows users to load their Amazon balance with cash in person to make online purchases later. There are now over 100,000 cash-loading locations available nationwide.
Ben Volk, Director of Payments at Amazon, released the following statement in reference to these new programs:
“Customers have told us they love the convenience of paying in cash. Together with Western Union, we’re able to offer customers more shopping choices, enabling them to pay for their online purchases in a way that is convenient for them.”
These new programs will allow people without a bank account or access to traditional banking to still get the convenience of online shopping.
