Party City Lands a Deal with Amazon

About this Deal

Another retailer has landed a deal with Amazon: Party City! The retailer said on Thursday that it would be starting a pilot program on Amazon ahead of Halloween season this year. Their main focus to start with will be Halloween costumes!

This isn't the first time a major brand has partnered with the e-commerce giant. Earlier in the year, Sears Holdings, Nike, Chico's, Calvin Klein, Carter's, and others have partnered with Amazon.

Meanwhile, Halloween is Party City's biggest selling season, and consumer spending across the US on Halloween-related merchandise continues to rise. In 2017, spending on Halloween items such as costumes, candy, and pumpkins reached a record of $9.1 billion!

Party City has said that it expects the pilot program to expand to other product categories, such as Christmas and New Year, "with further expansion possible in 2019."
