Is Bed Bath & Beyond Running Out of Time?

About this Deal

There are concerns that Bed Bath & Beyond is not keeping up with the evolving retail landscape and this is evident in the drop in sales the company has experienced. Their decline in sales is partly due to an activist battle that led to the termination of the CEO back in May. The company is looking to replace its Board of Directors and make positive changes.

Bed Bath & Beyond also has tough competition from other retailers including Walmart, Target and Amazon which have each launched more affordable private label home brands.

In addition to the evidence that Bed Bath & Beyond may be in trouble is the fact that the company is shuttering 40 stores this year, with more possibly on the way.

To begin solving its dilemma, the chain plans to close those under-performing stores and reduce any clutter in existing locations. The company also plans to experiment with remodeling to increase the visual appeal of their stores.

None of the other stores can compare with bath and body works., hope mine in Springfield is not on the list to close. They have just about everything you need fore the kitchen. The smallest to the largest.. will shop there until they give up on us

I shop BBB locally. I believe and hope they can OVERCOME this. They have great choices. I hope the coupons help, some items are expensive, esp linens and COMFORTER Sets. I love their items, I will keep shopping there and supporting them
