About this Deal
|When data breaches happen, it's a scary thing. No one wants personal information floating around in unknown hands. |
DoorDash is the latest victim of a data breach that has affected nearly 5 million people. How did the company discover the breach? Earlier this month, Doordash noticed suspicious activity from a third-party service provider and upon further investigation, found an unauthorized source gained access to the user database on May 4, 2019.
The data breach affects those who joined DoorDash on or before April, 5 2018 and they will receive notification of the incident. Information that was accessed includes names, email addresses, delivery addresses, order history, phone numbers and encrypted versions of passwords. Although full credit card numbers were not obtained, the last four digits of cards and bank accounts were. Plus, the driver's license numbers of around 100,000 delivery people were stolen.
