More Than 12 Million Pounds of Ground Beef Recalled

About this Deal

You may need to check our freezer for any ground beef you might have stashed away. This massive ground beef recall started in October by the largest beef processor, JBS USA.

On top of the 6.9 million pounds recalled two months ago, the US Department of Agriculture says that an additional 5.1 million-plus pounds has been recalled.

The 12.1 million pounds of raw beef products were produced between July 26th and September 7th by JBS USA at its processing plant in Tolleson, Arizona.

According to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), they are concerned that some of this beef may have been frozen and currently be in consumers' freezers. If so, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Ground beef from this list was sold at Sam's Club in more than two dozen states and Walmart in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Texas. Some of these products were packaged with the brand names Kroger, Cedar River Farms Natural Beef and Gourmet Burger.

These packages have an establishment number of "EST. 267" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

As many as 246 people from 26 states have gotten sick with salmonella.
