Walmart Ending Car Seat Exchange Nine Days Early

About this Deal

Attention Walmart shoppers! Last week the retailer began their first ever car seat recycling event, in which customers could trade-in their old car seats for a free $30 gift card. Because of the 'overwhelming response' in customer turn out, Walmart is now ending that event tonight -- nine days earlier than the original end date.

Walmart released the following statement in regards to this news:

"Due to the overwhelming response from our customers, we are quickly reaching capacity for this program. In less than one week, we estimate we will collect nearly 1 million car seats – or the equivalent of diverting over 200 million plastic bottles from landfills."

If you do the math, one million car seat trade-ins equals $30 million in gift cards!

Because of that turn out, Walmart is now ending the program nine days early. So, if you were planning on bringing in your old car seat, make sure you do it today (9/21), or you'll miss out.
