102 bottles of nail polish stolen by Connecticut man in bizarre shoplifting case

A Middletown, Connecticut man was arrested after stealing 102 bottles of nail polish from a local CVS, according to police. Marco Gonzalez was caught red-handed, along with various other colors, stealing the high-end bottles of nail polish.

According to NBC Connecticut on April 22, 2013, the 42-year-old man was apprehended at the CVS store on Washington Street in Middletown.

Police report that Marco Gonzalez, 42, entered the store and stuffed 102 bottles of nail polish into his pants and sweatshirt and was planning to make his way out of the store without paying for the items.

The Essie and Sally Hansen brand nail polish bottles, were not cheap and cost $8.49 each. The man's stolen nail polish totaled $865.98.

The nail polish thief was taken to the police department and charged with 5th-degree larceny and later released on a $10,000 bond.

Nail polish? Probably going to put them on ebay or something for some fast cash, idk that is just too odd....People are so desperate for money..UGH!

Wow 102 bottles of nail polish. I wonder what he was going to do with all of them...probably try to sell them.

@THartz606 I think he could've picked something better. I have never seen nail polish that costs more than $5 though. It usually is $1-$3. That's what got me too.
