boricua1 Jul 27, 2012
I could go a month maybe, but no longer.. :)
austin38 Jul 26, 2012
no way! that's so hard man
arsiel Jul 26, 2012
I could probably buy less new things. I don't mind thrift stores too much or buying off craigslist at all. It does take more time to find things that you like or are worth buying though
tpark6283 Jul 26, 2012
I don't think I could go past 3 days :-). Lol!!
shimisi Jul 26, 2012
I think I can somehow handle one year, granted that my computers work fine and don't break before the year's over :) But 5 years would be a stretch!

"I came up with a list of personal exceptions of stuff I was allowed to buy new. Like underwear, toothbrushes, bras, socks and of course, consumables and personal care items. (No used tampons for me!)"
drewskidooo Jul 26, 2012

mnvikings11 Jul 26, 2012
I know I could go over a week, but not much past that.
wannabecool Jul 26, 2012
Interesting read... I could save a lot of money but it would definitely take a lot of time to pull off. Plus I am not a used person... I'd rather buy new at used prices.
FibroMom Jul 26, 2012
Ummmm - based on the title - "NO!" (I'm lucky to go a week... I think I may have a shopping problem!) ;)
rockinnrolla Jul 26, 2012

if the cavemen could do it, i believe it's physically possible..just really REALLY challenging for us so used to everything being quick access and disposable!
zoneric Jul 26, 2012
well, not a year, it's too long. but I think at least 6 months I can manage :D
zoneric Jul 26, 2012
it depends a lot on what "anything" means...let's take fruits for example. if you plant your own trees, in how many years will you be able to eat their fruits...so, no fruits for 5-10 years? I don't think so...
krmills1 Jul 26, 2012
I think they mean just ordinary things like clothing, household items, etc. not food or actual daily necessities.
hemalaa Jul 26, 2012
it is very difficult. Probably a month or two would work.
fabrizzio Jul 26, 2012

ancagavs Jul 26, 2012

rd995 Jul 25, 2012

ArtemisDeals Jul 25, 2012
