Great idea on Amazon's part to introduce this right before the black Friday sales! Will save people doing heavy duty shopping a ton on shipping and allows them to get it in just 2 days! Good Move for Amazon! :)

This is fantastic. I've just made my $7.99 back in one transaction on saved shipping. I'm going to wear Prime out by Christmas.

I wonder if you can use a Amazon gift card for Amazon Prime??? Thanks for sharing.

Even paying the yearly fee for me it's a go, I mean they give a lot of things for a small fee. I can see videos in my xbox/cellphone, I can buy anything all the year and just wait for them to come in 2 days. For me Prime is like a Black Friday Deal all year available.

I pay $79/year ($6.58/month). So this deal is not better from what I currently have now. Just my 2 cents.
iAdil_ Nov 06, 2012
I will stick with the $39 for the year as a student :)
arsiel Nov 06, 2012
Yep, that's a no brainer. I shop at Amazon enough to make that worth it too
jennhris821 Nov 06, 2012
It won't let me sign up for 7.99 a month. Says that I have to pay 79/year. Maybe it's only for new prime customers?
Jtelford Nov 06, 2012
It all depends on the browser you're using. Try changing browsers.

I tried with firefox originally, just tried it with internet explorer and it said this "After your free trial, Amazon Prime is just $7.99/month" still wouldn't let me do it. Has anyone tried it that has already had a free trial and it worked?

Nice option for small consumption. Also a good way for wary customers to give it a try.
kffight3r Nov 06, 2012
so basically for 3.5 month, you would get a whole year discounted prime...
branie Nov 06, 2012
Great for those who only shop online occasionally, especially now through the end of the year.

this is pretty good offer. Would make lost of sense than paying yearly.
rd995 Nov 06, 2012
this will make sense now instead of paying the yearly fee i know its more expensive by doing it monthly but let say i just need it for the holidays its a good deal
